Jaune de Chrome's expertise

The magic of enamels

Jaune de Chrome produces products in its Saint-Léonard de Noblat factory, located a few kilometers from Limoges (Haute Vienne – France), combining traditional porcelain work and contemporary finishing through remarkable enamel work, a rare characteristic of our company.

The enameling process is an exclusive technique that makes our products truly remarkable. It involves meticulously applying a blend of enamels and metallic components to the porcelain to create a stunning textural effect. This technique demands great skill and extensive training so that each of our artisans can achieve perfect mastery of the decorations.

Even though the technique is impeccable, the process remains artisanal. Each piece therefore has a unique dimension, with the decoration undergoing slight variations during firing.

With this experience recognized by the greatest chefs, our porcelain represents the French art of living and contributes to the influence of "made in France" know-how throughout the world.

The Jaune de Chrome Collections
1
Spraying the enamels

All the Jaune de Chrome decorations are applied to the porcelain using a spraying technique. With a spray gun and precisely measured paint, the artisans spray the pieces arranged on a potter's wheel. To ensure uniformity, each piece is weighed, allowing for precise measurement of the amount of decoration applied to each one. Spraying allows for solid, delicate, or intense colors, depending on the amount of paint used.

The magic of the oven

The unique feature of the Jaune de Chrome decorations is that the design is revealed during firing in the oven. It is thanks to controlled heat that the intense, metallic, mineral patterns are revealed.
