In its quest for excellence, LOUIS XIII chose Coquet, convinced that our ancestral know-how and mastery of Limoges porcelain were best suited to bring its vision to life. Two collections were born: Ode to Time and Ode to Matter.
Ode to Matter
A journey to the heart of Grande Champagne, the birthplace of LOUIS XIII cognac.
The Ode to Matter collection pays homage to this unique limestone soil, a source of aromatic richness and aging potential.
To bring this vision to life, the artisans at Coquet took on a unique challenge: reproducing the mineral texture of the Domaine du Grollet directly in porcelain. Using 3D scanning and entirely manual techniques, each piece is glazed and then delicately brushed to reveal the underlying raw material.
This gesture, which demands extreme precision, transforms each plate, bowl, or service into a true imprint of the local terroir. Engraved on the reverse with a fleur-de-lis and circles inspired by the tierçons, each piece becomes a tangible link to the world of Louis XIII.
Ode to Time
In the heart of the cellars, time reveals the soul of LOUIS XIII.
The Ode to Time collection translates this metamorphosis through a play of facets sculpted in porcelain, a rare artisanal feat.
Porcelain artisans have pushed the boundaries of their expertise to create porcelain with unprecedented translucency. Sculpted both inside and out, these facets capture and filter light rays, evoking Louis XIII crystal and its amber hues.
Finally, each piece is enhanced with a delicate copper trim, applied by hand, as a tribute to the Charente stills where the aromatic soul of the eaux-de-vie is awakened. A demonstration of virtuosity where technical skill and poetry meet.
