To mark the Chinese New Year, which will mark the beginning of the Year of the Earth Pig, JL Coquet, the iconic manufacturer of Limoges porcelain, is partnering with D. Porthault, a prestigious name in home linens, for an exceptional "capsule" collection.
From its factory, based in Saint-Léonard de Noblat, a few kilometers from Limoges (Haute Vienne – France), JL Coquet has been creating and manufacturing the purest porcelain since 1824, combining originality of shapes, delicacy of finishes and quality of products.
With its exceptional expertise, JL Coquet implements its entire manufacturing process within its own factory to offer porcelain that is entirely manufactured and decorated in Haute-Vienne.
The decoration techniques (bands, fillets, application of gold and platinum, metallic backgrounds and lusters, chromolithographs…) are carried out in a traditional way to guarantee a precious and authentic finish.
To mark this major celebration, the Chinese New Year in Asia, JL Coquet is launching two new products. They are offering a Bubble and a mug, both adorned with a subtle design inspired by one of the iconic D. Porthault motifs, "Lace Tulip," and embellished with an Earth Pig, the symbol of this new year.
This design is achieved through remarkable screen printing work, carried out at the Saint-Léonard de Noblat factory. This process allows for admirable finesse and a striking rendering of the red and gold motifs, the traditional colors of the Chinese New Year.
