For Chinese New Year, which will start the year of Earth Pig on the 5th February 2019, J.L Coquet, famous manufacturer of “Porcelaine de Limoges”, will work with D. Porthault, prestigious French company for home linens, for an extraordinary « capsule » collection.
From its manufacture, based in Saint-Leonard de Noblat, close to Limoges (Haute Vienne – France), J.L. Coquet has created and produced since 1824 one of the finest porcelain, which associates originality of design, subtle shapes and products quality.
Rich in exceptional know-how, j.l coquet implements its entire manufacturing process within its factory to offer porcelain made entirely and decorated in Haute-Vienne.
Technics used for decoration (gold and platinum stripes, metallic shine, chromos, …) are done in a artisanal way to offer authentic and precious finish.
To celebrate this major event that Chinese New Year is in Asia, J.L Coquet launches 2 new products. It will propose a Bubble and a mug, ornamented with a subtle decor, inspired by one of the iconic design of D. Porthault, « Lace Tulip », combined to an Earth Pig, which symbolizes this new coming year.
This decor is possible thanks to a remarkable serigraphic work, done to J.L Coquet’s manufacture. This process will provide an admirable fineness and a wonderful result with the gold and red patterns, which are the traditional color for the Chinese New Year.
